A Maximum Power Point Tracker Using the Bald Eagle Search Technique for Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Systems

Maximum power point tracker (MPPT) methods work to maximize the output of a PV system under changes in meteorological conditions. The performance these depends on complexity algorithm and number used variable inputs for obtaining MPP value. Moreover, they oscillate around steady-state operations, causing waste loss. do not perfectly running partial shading Therefore, this paper proposes modifications global maximum bald eagle search-based (GMPP BES) method so that it runs as an MPPT well. enable GMPP BES detect minor insolation temperature by observing array voltage and, accordingly, trigger search suitable voltage. An experimental setup using real-time digital simulator (RTDS) was utilized evaluate modified BES-based real ambient temperature. RTDS simulations confirm capability accurately efficiently locate values. Furthermore, results demonstrate proposed performs better than perturb observe (PO) concerning its ability respond arrive at correct values with nearly zero oscillation point. Thus, advantages, can be considered practical solution solar farms have harvest large amounts energy.
